Herrbrook Day Program Support Staff
Job Title: Support Staff, Bachelor’s and Master’s Level
Location: Lancaster, PA 17603
Hours: Part-Time 10am – 2pm Monday through Friday / Part-Time 10am - 2pm Tuesday & Thursday
Salary: $16-$20/hour based on education and experience
Overview: The Herrbrook Day Program at Winner’s Circle Center is a clinical and alternative educational environment providing individualized support with academic, organizational and motivational strategies for students aged 14 –21 who have been diagnosed with mental health disorders such as Autism, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, behavioral disorders or who require significant social, emotional or behavioral supports to achieve success in school.
Position Summary: Support Staff will work in collaboration with Senior level staff to assist students individually and in small groups with academic and organizational tasks, social interactions, and emotional regulation. This role involves implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), delivering modified or adapted instructional support, providing emotional and behavioral support, and assisting in the facilitation of therapeutic programming. Support staff will build positive relationships with students to model and promote consistent engagement in program activities including core academics; electives such as STEM, P.E. and FCS; and therapeutic activities such as Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Art, and Expressive Therapeutic groups; Social Skills and Life Skills, psycho-educational instruction, and Equine-Assisted Learning sessions.
Please note: Winner’s Circle Center, Inc. is located on a working farm, and Support Staff will work with students indoors and outdoors as well as with dogs, horses and other animals.
