A woman with blonde hair, wearing a black long-sleeve turtleneck and blue jeans, smiles and hugs a white horse with a red halter in a grassy field with trees and autumn foliage in the background.

Elise Klingaman, MS

Clinician

Elise has been part of the Winner’s Circle family for four years. Elise’s clinical focus is on child development, which often means collaborating with parents, extended family, and school personnel to ensure her clients are growing up to the best of their ability.

Elise’s favorite part of working with young children is the opportunity to set an example for what therapy sessions can look like. She often works with kids who have never been to therapy before and takes the responsibility of introducing them to the therapeutic experience very seriously. Elise has helped many kids learn that therapy does not have to be stuffy, uncomfortable, or awkward. Instead, she welcomes clients into a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental atmosphere that can also be fun and playful! Besides creating a positive outlook of therapy, Elise aims to help children develop emotional and social skills they can use in a world that is full of many things they cannot control.

Rooted in her belief that each client is unique in what methods are therapeutic to them at different times, Elise uses an eclectic therapeutic style that incorporates methods from several different scientifically-based therapeutic ideas. Elise especially enjoys researching multi-cultural parenting methods and child-rearing strategies from around the world! Elise primarily works with children ages 5 through 12 and is currently accepting new clients.
