Heather Looney, MS, NLT-1
Assistant Director, Clinician
Heather received her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Chester University. Her professional career began as a special education teacher, teaching at an alternative school. It was there that she discovered her passion for supporting at-risk children and adolescents as they navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Her clinical education continued when Heather was trained in Equine Assisted Therapy with the Natural Lifemanship Institute. Heather utilizes a person-centered, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming lens in her counseling, integrating various therapeutic modalities, tailored to support each client’s unique needs. She has experience working with children and adolescents with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as those navigating the foster or juvenile justice systems. Outside of her professional life, Heather spends her free time horseback riding through beautiful Lancaster County, and tending to the menagerie of animals that she brings home. Heather is committed to creating a warm and supportive environment where clients feel heard and empowered on their journey towards healing and growth.
